Safeguarding
Greentrees Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
We will fulfil our local and national responsibilities as outlined in the following key documents:
- Working Together to Safeguard Children
- Keeping Children Safe in Education
- The procedures of the Wiltshire Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership
- Information Sharing: Advice for Practitioners Providing Safeguarding Services
The aim of this is to ensure that:
- All pupils are safe and protected from harm.
- Robust safeguarding procedures are in place to help pupils feel safe and learn how to keep themselves safe.
- All adults within the school community are aware of expected behaviours and the school’s legal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and child protection.

- Whistleblowing Policy
Early Help
We place a strong emphasis on early intervention to help ensure that concerns do not escalate and become more complex or difficult to manage. All staff are trained to recognise when children and families may benefit from Early Help support.
The school works collaboratively with families to improve outcomes for children and signposts them to a range of support services where appropriate.
