Safeguarding

Greentrees Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We will fulfil our local and national responsibilities as laid out in the following key documents:

  • Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • The procedures of the Wiltshire Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership
  • Information Sharing: Advice for Practitioners Providing Safeguarding Services

The aim of this is to ensure:

  • All our pupils are safe and protected from harm.
  • Safeguarding procedures are in place to help pupils to feel safe and learn to stay safe.
  • Adults in the school community are aware of the expected behaviours and the school’s legal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and child protection.

Early Help

We place a strong emphasis on early intervention in order to help ensure that issues do not escalate and become more complex or difficult to manage. All school staff are trained to recognise when families may benefit from Early Help. The school works in collaboration with families to improve outcomes for children, signposting them to a range of support available if needed.
